Trial details

What's in the Giolit SVA Verifier trial

SVA verifier trial: 1000 runs, 50 days

RTL assertions for all inputs

Simulation checks the input sequences somebody wrote — this trial proves all of them: get the giolit-sva-verifier-1.0.0-trial.tar.gz package with the sva-verify command, 11 tutorial designs, 218 benchmark verifications with known answers and every result bundle, plus Tutorial, Product Poster, Tool Comparison, README and License Terms. Run sva-verify --reset=rst design.sv on Ubuntu 24.04 — when it can't be proven you get the exact failing cycle plus VCD waveform and replay testbench, and proved runs yield a signed certificate with safety margins — see what the SVA verifier checks.

Every input, not a sample — proof covers all input sequences and start states
Real bugs with the breaking cycle — VCD waveform + replay testbench, never a false alarm
Evidence, not opinions — signed certificate with the invariant plus safety margins
Fast for daily use — 0.4s small proofs, 1.5s deep 12M-state proof, one command

Simulation checks the sequences somebody wrote — proof checks them all: every input sequence, of any length, from every start state, across every file in your design. When it can't be proven you get the exact failing cycle plus VCD waveform and replay testbench, never a false alarm. Proved runs yield a signed certificate with safety margins: PROVED with stars, or FAILED with the breaking cycle.

Your SVA stays exactly as written — sequences, assumptions, covers, liveness, hierarchy and all.

$ sva-verify --reset=rst design.sv

$ sva-verify --reset=rst --margins --report=cert rtl/*.sv

  • SVA as written — sequences ##[m:n], [*], |->/|=>, s_eventually, $past/$stable — IEEE 1800-2017 via slang, in the design or bound with bind.
  • Assumes, covers, liveness in one run — constrain inputs with assume, prove scenarios reachable with cover, prove starvation-freedom with k-liveness or see the lasso loop.
  • Multiclock done exactly — one global clock by default; --multiclock checks every edge interleaving instead of assuming it away.
  • Margins with stars — every proved bound reports how far it can tighten before failing, rolled into the 1–5 star Giolit Safety Resilience Score.
  • Integration scale — our 6-file SoC example (2 counters, 2 depth-16 FIFOs, pipeline, buffer, margins block, shared clock/reset) proves 25 assertions and covers 6 scenarios with a 21-page certificate.

Proven outputs

Example certificates

Simulation checks the sequences somebody wrote — proof checks them all. Every run ends with evidence you can hand to an auditor: a signed certificate when everything is proven, or a report with the exact failing cycle, waveform and replay testbench when a bug is found, never a false alarm. Below are three real trial outputs — a margins proof, a caught bug and a 6-file SoC integration. Each PDF carries the verdict, the exact command, per-property results and the full proof.

Install and verify in minutes

When it can't be proven you get the exact failing cycle plus VCD waveform and replay testbench — fit for daily use straight from the command line.

$ tar xzf giolit-sva-verifier-1.0.0-trial.tar.gz

$ cd giolit-sva-verifier-1.0.0-trial/code && ./install.sh

$ sva-verify --reset=rst 01_counter.sv

sva-verify --license shows runs and days left without using a run.

What it checks

Assertion outcomes the trial decides

Simulation checks the sequences somebody wrote — proof checks every input for assertion violations, unreachable scenarios and liveness failures, with no false alarms.

  • Proved or broken — every assert ends PROVED with its invariant, or FAILED with the exact failing cycle, waveform and replay testbench.
  • Reachable or dead — every cover ends COVERED with a witness run, or UNREACHABLE exposing dead logic and over-constraining assumptions.
  • Liveness plus honest unknowns — s_eventually proved or refuted with lassos; UNDECIDED and UNSUPPORTED always say why. Full verdict list.

  • SVA: concurrent + immediate assert/assume/cover, sequences (##, ##[m:n], [*], [->], [=]), properties (|->, |=>, always, s_eventually, until), default clocking/disable iff, $past/$rose/$fell/$stable/$changed; hierarchy, parameters, generate, interfaces, packages, memories, bind; --multiclock.
  • Outputs: signed PDF certificate or counterexample report + VCD waveforms, replay testbenches, proof.json, results.json, certificate.json statement, sources + reproduce.sh.
  • CI: exit codes 0 proved, 1 failures, 2 undecided/unsupported, 3 usage error, 4 no license; --property, --margins, --timeout, --json, --report; C++ SDK.

FAQ

Free trial questions

Are the Giolit trials free?

+

Yes. Each trial is free for 1000 runs within 50 days on one Linux computer. No credit card, and nothing to cancel — the trial simply expires.

Which trial do I need?

+

C software such as firmware, drivers and multi-file C projects: the Program Verifier. RTL hardware with SystemVerilog assertions: the SVA Verifier. Algorithmic trading strategies and pre-trade risk controls: the Trading Risk Verifier. You can request several trials with one form.

What are the system requirements?

+

Ubuntu 24.04 LTS x86-64 or newer with LLVM/Clang 18 libraries, libc6-dev and libssl3. LuaLaTeX and qpdf are needed only for PDF reports; JSON and text output need nothing extra.

How do I install a trial?

+

Extract the archive, run ./install.sh, then run the first example: v7 file.c, sva-verify --reset=rst design.sv or trade-verify 01_position_limit.gts. Each package includes a tutorial and worked examples.

Is my code uploaded anywhere?

+

No. Every verifier runs entirely on your own machine, with Giolit's own engines and no cloud service. Your source code, RTL or trading strategy never leaves it.

What does each verifier produce?

+

A verdict for every check — proven, or the exact case that breaks it — with reports: PDF, JSON and SARIF for C; waveforms and replay testbenches for SVA; replayable FIX 4.4 logs for trading. Trial reports are watermarked.

Can I use the verifiers in CI?

+

Yes. Each tool returns exit codes for proven, violated and undecided results and writes machine-readable output, so it can gate merges and releases.

What happens when the trial ends?

+

After 1000 runs or 50 days the tool stops running new checks; anything you generated stays yours. Contact Giolit Labs for a production or CI licence. The --license option shows runs and days left at any time without using a run.
